I didn't watch the fights, but still have some thoughts.

First you guys are talking about Yves Edwards vs. Joe Stevenson I assume. Yves is not the same fighter he was a couple of years ago.

Shamrock vs Ortiz (may), I repeat (may) have been a worked match. I would have to see it to feel confident in saying that. A worked match is one that isn't a real contest. It's fixed so to say. Shamrock's long history in pro wrestling, he was a wrestler before his first UFC fight and the fact that most of his fights in Japan were worked along with the over the top way that he tried to put the fight over leads to suspicions. i could be wrong though....

Hughes is way too small for Ortiz, but neither are close to as good as the champ Liddel or Vanderlei Silva of Pride fame who was introduced during the show. Vanderlei may have trouble with the UFC steroid test though. Seriously, Pride doesn't test and it's no secret that Wandy as he is called has "juiced" in the past.

No way Andrei Arlovski can stand and bang with Tim sylvia. He HAS to get that fight to the ground to have a chance.

Something most of you may not know is the an old friend of mine Joe Jordan who use to live in Jenkins and now fights out of Iowa was on the untelevised undercard. He lost but at least he got there.

My buddy Jason Coomer fought and won on the same night on a pro card in Corbin Ky. and then spent most of the rest of the night throwing a few back with the shows special guest Kimo.
